Jennifer Han Now Faces Fatuma Zarika on April 18 Main Event
Earlier today, Jennifer Han took to Facebook to shut down rumors that her fight this upcoming Saturday night in El Paso, Texas has been cancelled.
The disappointing news is that Han (11-3-1, 1KO) will no longer be fighting for the IBF World Featherweight title against Ghana’s Helen Joseph who never made it to the United States because of visa troubles. Instead, Han will be fighting another African, Fatuma Zarika (24-9-2, 14KOs) for the vacant IBF Inter-Continental Featherweight title.
The bout, according to Han, serves as a title eliminator where the winner will face Joseph this summer:
The fights are not canceled!!!!! Just my world title fight because Helen Joseph could not get her visa in time. I will be fighting Fatuma Zarika for the IBF intercontinental title tomorrow as a world eliminator match. The winner will fight Joseph for the IBF world title in June. I’m so sorry for this obstacle but please come and support me win so I can fight for the world title!
Much love and respect,
The Wera Promotions fight card headlined by Han and Zarika will take place at the El Paso County Coliseum in El Paso, Texas Saturday at 6pm.
