Brian Mendoza to Take Part in Pro-Am Iron Boy 17 Card in Phoenix

New Mexican’s Brian Mendoza and John Herrera are Part of Nov. 15th’s Iron Boy 17 Card in Phoenix

Iron Boy 17 Will be Streamed Live and Free

Likely to be crowned New Mexico boxing’s 2014 Debuter of the of the Year, Albuquerque’s Brian Mendoza will be participating in Iron Boy 17’s prospect loaded card at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona this weekend.

For his third fight of the year Mendoza (2-0, 2KOs) will face Jay Dominguez (1-0, 1KO) in a four-round welterweight bout. The 25-year-old Dominguez, originally from El Paso but now residing in Arizona, will be participating in his first contest since 2010.

Roswell’s John Herrera will fight in co-main event at Iron Boy 17

The co-main event of the evening will feature some New Mexico flavor as Roswell’s John “Smiley” Herrera will be looking for his first win since 2012 against undefeated Arizonan Carlos Castro (6-0, 3KOs).

Iron Boy 17 will be streaming the  event live and free on their website www.iron-boy.com.

A total of 14 fights including four amateur bouts help compile the card.

For those in southern Arizona the official weigh-in for Iron Boy 17 will be at Crescent Crown Distributing in Mesa at 5p.m. on Friday November 14th.

Tickets for Saturday Nov. 15th’s Iron Boy 17 card are priced at $30, $50, $65 and $100, and are available at www.iron-boy.com or at the Celebrity Theatre Box Office.
