Austin Trout’s Next Fight Will be Against Luis Grajeda Dec. 11

Earlier today it was reported by ESPN’s Dan Rafael that Las Cruces, New Mexico’s former WBA Super Welterweight champion Austin Trout will face Mexico’s Luis Grajeda December 11th at the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California.

The ESPN2 televised bout, scheduled for 10 rounds in the light middleweight division, is expected to be the co-main event on the Thursday night ESPN boxing special that will honor late promoter Dan Goossen.

Both Trout (27-2, 14KOs) 29, and Grajeda (17-3-2, 13 KOs) 27, will be making their second straight appearances on ESPN2 with each coming off August bouts; Trout a unanimous decision victory over Australia’s Daniel Dawson, and Grajeda a gutsy unanimous decision loss to light middleweight contender Willie Nelson.

Also expected on the card is a main event bout featuring heavyweight Chris Arreola. Arreloa’s opponent has not been named.
