Kevin Croom “The Hard-Hitting Hilbilly” Hopes to Get Into the UFC after MFC 40
It is not the Bantamweight championship against Anthony Birchak that New Mexico trained Kevin Croom was originally training for but he does not seem to care much as long as he gets to fight. With plenty of notice Jesse Brock fills in for an injured Birchak May 9th when Maximum Fighting Championship 40 hits the Shaw Convention Centre in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada live at 10:00PM ET on AXS TV.
The 2013 Southwest Fight News MMA Fighter of the Year, Croom (14-4), went on a tear last year winning seven bouts all in the first round by technical or submission. Take it back to November of 2012 and the Kansas City Missouri native is 9-0 which includes victories in three different countries with seven different promotions.
After “The Hard-Hitting Hillbilly”’s last three fights televised in the United States, Croom has made a calling to the big wigs at the UFC requesting that they consider his talents for their bantamweight roster.
“We’re in contact, that’s all I can say about it,” says a reassuring Croom. “Don’t worry everybody, we’ll be good.”
