Boxing Could Return to Santa Fe with Showtime Boxing event
Earlier today at the Zab Judah vs Paul Malignaggi press conference in Brooklyn, New York, Showtime Sports Executive Stephen Espinoza informed us that Showtime Networks has plans to hold a ShoBox: The New Generation boxing card in Santa Fe, New Mexico. They are look at the anticipate date of February 7th and targeting the Buffalo Thunder Casino and Resort just outside of Santa Fe as their venue. The promoter of the event will be Don King Promotions.
As the event continues to develop we will update with information with regards to the fighters that will be participating. One confirmed fighter however, is light welterweight Angelo Santana (14-1, 11KOs), a Cuban national, now training out of Miami, Florida.
