At the 2013 National Golden Gloves Tournament of Champions in Salt Lake City, Utah Atrisco Boxing and Rio Rancho’s Brian “La Bala” Mendoza (Colorado/New Mexico) defeated Samuel Shamir Ellsworth (Mid South Region) via 2nd round KO.
In the only fighter representing New Mexico, Mirabal Boxing’s Matthew “Diamond Boy” Griego of Albuquerque, lost a decision to St. Louis Missouri’s Timothy Jarman according to Colorado Golden Gloves.
The 2013 National Golden Gloves tournament last through Saturday. We will continue to keep an eye out for Mendoza’s performance.
