Holly Holm Signs four-fight deal with Texas-based Legacy Fight Championship
The former women’s pound for pound boxing queen has found a temporary home in MMA. Holly Holm (3-0) has signed a four-fight deal with Legacy Fighting Championship where she will make her debut at Legacy FC 21 in the Arena Theater in Houston, Texas on July 19th.
According to MMAFighting.com Holm’s contract with Legacy FC does not prevent Holm, from signing with another promotion:
“Despite the exclusive contract, Maynard said he wouldn’t stand in the way of Holm signing with the UFC, should she be offered a deal while contractually tied to Legacy FC,” reported Ariel Helwani.
Holm’s first opponent with Legacy FC has yet to be named.
Also joining Holm in another Legacy debut is Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s Mixed Martial Arts teammate and former UFC featherweight Leonard Garcia (15-11-1) who will take on Rey Trujillo (14-10) in the evening’s co-main event. Holm’s bout will be featured as part of the preliminaries and is currently slated to be the only female fight.
