Nakai vs Gonzales

Earlier today the weigh-ins for Sunday’s Pancrase 247 took place at the Differ Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan. In the co-main event of the evening New Mexico and FIT NHB’s Brenda Gonzales (4-0) will be taking on Rin Nakai (13-0-1) at the Differ Ariake Arena in Tokyo, in the most important fight in Women’s Mixed Martial Art history for a native New Mexico.

Japanese media outlets have reported that both Gonzales and Nakai have made weight, with one outlet reporting Nakai’s weight at 134.9lbs. No report has been published mentioning Gonazles, who is the reigning King of the Cage champion at 125lbs.

The always flaunting Nakai, has caused quite a stir with her provocative promotional videos for the upcoming contest and the weigh in was  no different. Nakai would should up and weigh in a bunny outfit, to the entertainment of Gonzales.

For those interested in viewing the 27 fight card, Pancrase 247 will be streamed on iPPV and is available for $9.99 on http://www.ustream.tv/channel/pancrase-mma. The co-main event futuring Gonzales and Nakai is expected to air at 3:30 am Mountain Time.
