Earlier this evening the Espinoza Boxing Club announced that their fighter Luis Ramos Jr., has pulled out of his June 8th fight against Albuquerque’s Fidel Maldonado Jr. for personal reasons. The contest was slated to be part of the undercard for the Marcos Maidana vs. Josesito Lopez main event at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
Espinoza Boxing who manages Ramos and other world renown fighters such as Israel Vazquez, Abner Mares and Daniel Ponce De Leon, made the announcement via their Twitter account stating, “Unfortunately, for personal reasons, Luis Ramos has to pull out of his fight against Fidel Maldonado on 6/8.”
Espinoza Boxing hopes that the contest between the two lightweight prospect can be rescheduled. “Still hope to make Luis Ramos-Fidel Maldonado later this year,” they tweeted shortly after announcing the news of Ramos pulling out of the fight.
