Albuquerque’s Fidel Maldonado Jr. (15-2, 12KOs) defeated Jorge Romero via KO in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico.

Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s Cub Swanson the number 6th ranked featherweight in the world defeated number 7th ranked Dustin Poirier via UD.

Two fights were added to the third boxing installment by Chavez Promotions at the Wool Warehouse on March 30th:
-Amanda Crespin vs. Nohime Dennisson III
-Matthew Baca vs. Yordan Hernandez

It was announced that WBA Super Welterweight Champion Austin Trout would face WBC Champion Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez May 4th at the MGM Grand. The contest will be the co-main event to a Floyd Mayweather main event. This weekend Trout also payed a visit to Jackson’s-Winkeljohn’s MMA to conduct a sparring session with Carlos Condit.
