The King of the Cage organization is recognized as one of the most popular and consistent MMA promotions in New Mexico. Offering the state at least two or three showings per year featuring some of the most popular and polarizing figures in the regional scene, King of the Cage has stapled its brand as one of the places to be for up and coming New Mexican’s looking to compete in front of home crowds.

On November 10th, the event titled “Final Countdown” will feature two of Albuquerque’s most recognizable King of the Cage fighters in Frank Baca and Tim “Timbo Slice” Sosa. The card will also feature plenty of other local talent.

While the card has not been finalized we can expect some familiar faces to entertain the audience. Judgment MMA’s Adrian Cruz (2-0 pro) returns after a back and forth affair in his last bout that saw him leave with a decision victory. The 135-pound Cruz will look to keep his professional record unblemished against Las Vegas fighter Derek Cranford.

Joining Cruz in representing the Judgment MMA team will be Eric Kucevic (1-4 pro) and Amanda Lovato (debut) who do not have confirmed opponents at this time.  Kucevic is a veteran of the sport despite only having a handful of professional bouts, starting his career in 2004 he took a seven-year hiatus from the sport and this will be his 3rd fight since his return.

Defending the King of the Cage amateur title. FIT NHB’s Tim Sosa (9-3 amateur) will look to defend the 125-pound amateur title for the first time since capturing the belt this past September in Oklahoma.

Sosa’s teammate Frank Baca (15-2 pro) will also look to put steam on path back to winning ways. After a tough decision loss to Russell Doane, a fight that saw Baca lose his KOTC 135-pound title he would go into Oklahoma last month and knock out his opponent in one minute and one second. The victory was one of statement, as Baca looks to get back to his winning ways against Isaac Colon (2-2 pro) of Colorado.

Also expected to be on the card is Santa Fe Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy’s Steven Gonzales and Albuquerque Kickboxing Academy’s Skyler Pendleton. Stay tuned to SWFight.com for the latest updates and more in-depth analysis as the event approaches closer.
