Josh Lanier Jiu-Jitsu

Attention Jiu Jitsu and grappling enthusiasts!

Josh Lanier, billed as one of New Mexico’s premier grappling coaches will be instructing a No-Gi seminar hosted by Lovato’s Total Fitness on September 15th, 2012 from1-3 pm.

Lanier is a professional mixed martial artist, boxer and prominent grappler from the state ofNew Mexico. He is currently amongst the top 10 grapplers inNew Mexico’sSouthwest Grapplefeststandings. Amongst his notable accolades, Lanier is a Silver Medalist in the Europa World’s expert division and the 2012 Monster Energy Quest for the Best Champion.

The theme of the seminar is “how to win off your back” and “learn to finish the match from anywhere” which will compliment Lanier’s slick style of Jiu Jitsu and will showcase what many know Lanier for on the mats, his flexibility.

Working from your back or your guard is especially important with the constant influx of wrestling being brought into grappling. With scoring systems that reward takedowns it is important for any competitive grappler to be able to win from either their back or from on top. This seminar has a great theme from an experienced coach, well worth the time to look into attending.

Lovato’s Total Fitness is located on 6500 Hanover RD. NWand the price for the seminar will be $10 for members of the gym and $20 for non-members.

For more information on the seminar you can call the gym at (505) 836-7604
