A Top Rank Incorporated card is expected to take place Octorber 27th at the El Paso County Coliseum. If it goes as planned, the main event will be a 12-round IBF Super Bantamweight Eliminator bout between former champion of the belt Takalani Ndlovu (33-7, 18KOs) and Alejandro Lopez (23-2, 7KOs). Potentially to be on the undercard is undefeated El Paso prospect Abraham “Abie” Han (17-0, 11KOs), who currently does not have a foe lined up.
A potential rumored opponent to face Han is Juan De La Rosa (20-3-1) originally from Tamaulipas, Mexico fighting out of Harlingen, Texas. The 26-year-old Rosa has not fought since early 2009.
He is most recognized for being the youngest participant, at the age of 18, on NBC reality series The Contender back in 2005.
Han is coming off of a dominant fourth round TKO victory over New Mexico’s Joe Gomez, on the Julio Cesar Chavez-Andy Lee June card also held in El Paso.
The card Ndlovu vs. Lopez bout was originally rumored to take place in South Africa. We will have more details as the card is laid out in the weeks to come.
