LONGMONT, Colorado – On Friday, at 6pm local time Las Palmeras Restaurant hosted a weigh-in, for Saturday’s Warriors Conquest card featuring Albuquerque’s Josh “Pitbull” Torres (7-1-1) against Raul “El Chino” Carrillo (9-1) in the main event. In his first contest since the passing of his trainer Johnny Tapia, Torres (7-1-1) will be facing a tough challenge in Carrillo (9-1), in the latter’s adoptive hometown of Longmont, Colorado.

Originally from Torreón, Coahuila, Mexico, Carrillo is coming off of the first loss of his career to veteran Robert Frankel.

“I need this victory to bounce back and to be considered a prospect,” said Carrillo in Spanish. “Josh looks very fresh. I’m anxious for (the fight).”

Albuquerque’s Nazareth Rojas also made weight. He will be facing Colorado Springs debutante Nathaniel Hicks.

At Friday afternoons weigh-in the fights are announced to start at 5pm Saturday night at the Boulder County Fairgrounds located at 9595 Nelson Road in Longmont, Colorado.

The fight card is presented by El Muñeco and Ghost Town Promotions; advance tickets run $45, $35 and $25 and can be purchased by calling (720) 296-6176.
