Josh Torres takes on former Albuquerque Mayor Marty Chavez

Today former three-term mayor of Albuquerque,  New Mexico, Martin “Marty” Chavez, unveiled a new political ad featuring Albuquerque boxer Josh Torres (7-1-1, 4KOs).

Chavez is currently seeking the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Representative New Mexico 1st congressional district; a seat being vacated by fellow Democrat Martin Heinrich who announced his intention of running for the US Senate.

Torres is currently in training for his upcoming contest against Colorado fighter Raul Carrillo (9-1, 6KOs). The fight will take place in Carrillo’s hometown of Longmont, Colorado.
