Mixed Martial Art flyweight “Hurricane” Heather Jo Clark (4-2) of Jackson’s MMA and Danny Romero’s Hideout, will be making her professional boxing debut Saturday April 28th on the co-promoted Golden Boy/Golden Girl Promotions card Gold Rush: Solo Boxeo in the Bosque at the Santa Ana Star Casino.

She will be replacing Brenda Gonzales (2-0) and taking on Chavira Jack, in a 4rd bout at a maximum weight of 125lbs. Gonzales was forced to pull out due to an ankle injury.

A winner of four mixed martial art fights, her victories have come by way of submission and KO twice respectively.

Clark, along with Jackson’s MMA teammate Julie Kedzie (16-9), was also on the original class of NBC’s Ultimate Women’s Challenge, a reality show that focused on female MMA. The show had a similar premise to the UFC’s Ultimate Fighter but unlike it’s male counterpart never made it to the national airwaves.

Clark’s boxing debut will make it the third time she will be participating in a sport professionally. She played NCAA Division I ice hockey at St. Cloud State in Minnesota and played professionally in Canada and Switzerland.
